On Wednesday, July 23rd, 15 volunteers removed over 10 bags of litter. Whoop! 🙌🏼 Observations included: bottle caps, cigarette butts, balloons, beach toys, straws, and even a part of a car!

Ways to Sea Beyond and have a low waste 4th:
🇺🇸 Reuse and DIY Decorations. Use last year’s decor or borrow from a friend.
🎈 Skip the balloons and fireworks.
🍽️ Use reusable or compotable party-ware. Serve on real plates, glasses, and cutlery — or use compostable bamboo/palm leaf options.
🍔 Choose Sustainable Food Choices Buy Local & Seasonal by sourcing from local farmers at your local farmers market.
🌭Plan Portions Wisely. Avoid over buying and encourage guests to take home left overs.

It’s Cleanup Day! Join us outside the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Grab a bag & a data sheet and sweep the beach.

We had a great experience volunteering at the Murrells Inlet 33rd Annual Spring Tide Community Clean-Up & Chowder Cook-Off. It was a great turnout and together, the community collected a total of 10,834 pounds ( 5.42 tons ) of trash!! Wow!! The inlet thanks you!

It was great to see our friends from the South Carolina Aquarium and Keep Horry County Beautiful.

It takes a village to put on this event, so we are looking for volunteers for the Chili Cook-off next month, especially for time slots: 2 pm- 5pm and tear down from 5-7pm.

Water enthusiasts on the Grand Strand are all invited to gather on the first Wednesday of the month to share stories, network, and meet other like-minded men and women, young and old.
